You're growing fast with tons of potential. A team of awesome humans, fun to be around, doing amazing things. Yet you're struggling to find an office.
The big office brokers are focused on their fellow big businesses. Biiiiig deals, with leases that go on and on and on.
Fair enough, but what are you and all the other scaleups supposed to do?
That's why our two founders left their corporate office gigs and set up Kontor.
Kontor came along to help scaleups find the offices they need.
To get them access to inspiring spaces where their teams actually want to work. To give them honest and expert advice every step of the way. To make sure they weren’t taken to the cleaners.
And we were in it for the long haul.
Helping clients move two times… three times... four times.... five. From 10 desks to 20, from 50 to 100, from 100 to infinity. Helping them expand internationally when they hit the bigtime.
To serve them well, we learned how to do things differently.
We had to get under the skin of what makes them tick. To find them an environment that not only meets spec but also supports who they are and where they are on their journey.
“Business as usual” is not in the scaleup playbook. Founders, office managers and ops bods wear a lot of hats and have a lot to juggle.
So we took minutes, not weeks, to reply to emails. Added smart tech where it matters. Built a team with a laser-cut skillset... similarly awesome humans who are fun to be around but also know their stuff inside out and can tease out requirements the client never even knew they had.
Because wouldn’t it be nice if you looked forward to taking time out of your day to view offices? Wouldn’t it be nice to feel sure the person you’re dealing with gets it and is on your side?
Now it’s 2020. And things are working out just fine.

Although startups and scaleups are our OGs, these days, we’re fortunate to work with some other fine folks too. From billion-dollar disruptors to VCs and even like-minded blue-chips too for good measure. All slightly different yet still kind of the same, on the hunt for an office where their teams can do awesome things.
We’ve helped them acquire a few square feet of office space along the way… 3 million, to be precise. (That’s around 35,000 desks in 400+ offices across 7 countries, but who’s counting?!)
To keep delivering, our team has grown from two to 16 people. Between us we have over 75 years of industry experience. (For names, faces and juicy facts, meet the people behind Kontor.)
We’ve moved offices five times in five years and expanded across the pond to New York from London. (Which is fortunate, seeing as we’re part of the Mayor’s International Business Programme.)
In short… we’ve been through many of the same highs and lows our amazing clients go through.
And we wouldn’t want it any other way.
