Director of Flexible Office Transactions


Kontor is looking for a Director of Flexible Office Transactions to join their Flexible Office Transactions Team. You will join the company’s largest team to manage more junior sales team members, as well as advise fast-growing companies to find and secure their perfect office space in London and beyond.

  • Overseeing the sales team and individually contributing to accomplishing the team’s goals

  • Be a point of reference to support the sales team with possible questions and monitor their day-to-day activities and professional development

  • Provide training and feedback to the sales team and facilitate their growth and improve their selling skills

  • Manage the entire office search for larger, more complex transactions, from initial brief through to completion

    • Qualify prospective clients, understand the nuances of their needs and discover their decision drivers

    • Educate and guide prospective clients on the process and available office options

    • Curate and present suitable office options

    • Arrange and carry out viewing tours with clients

    • Assist and guide clients to shortlist the most suitable offices

    • Negotiate office acquisitions on behalf of our clients, which may include coming up with creative solutions

    • Liaise with serviced office providers and/or landlords to reach the best possible outcome

  • Produce collateral to facilitate transactions, such as cost comparisons, cash flows, etc.

  • Develop profitable and long-lasting business relationships with clients, as well as anticipate and respond to clients’ needs and concerns 

  • Generate own pipeline and business, from existing and new clients

  • Leverage and maintain a strong network with serviced office providers and landlords

  • Have close relationships with other teams to ensure they can reach aligned initiatives and act as an ambassador for the sales team, but represent the interests of other departments

  • Take a lead role in growing the London sales team, incl. being involved in recruiting and training

  • Actively contribute to initiatives to improve the sales team and Kontor

  • Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with the company’s values



  • At least 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate

  • Excellent local market knowledge, as well as a stellar reputation in the market

  • Strong network of serviced office providers and/or landlords

  • A motivation for sales, are driven by achieving targets and have a proven track record of meeting & exceeding goals 

  • Motivated to manage a team, train employees and act as a mentor

  • Excellent negotiation skills, coming up with creative solutions for larger transactions and working successfully under pressure

  • Excellent communication, both with internal and external stakeholders, strong people management skills, as well as an approachable appearance

  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to a team environment

  • Have a genuine interest and knowledge of the tech and creative sectors

  • Are an excellent multitasker, able to work on a multitude of things at once

  • Detail-oriented, ability to adhere to deadlines and always deliver a professional service

  • Are a self-starter and used to working well under minimal supervision. You are proactive in your work and have a high degree of initiative and flexibility

  • Look to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that can frequently change

  • Are a team player, with an ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals and who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative team 

  • Strong business development and relationship management skills, showing initiative and drive when seeking out new opportunities

  • Able to adapt to technologies and software, proficient in basic Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


This role will be based in our office in Shoreditch, London. We have adopted an office first policy, but you will have flexibility if you want to work elsewhere a few days a week. With the nature of the role, you will have a lot of client interactions in real life, but it means you will be on the move a lot and can work from wherever suits you best.
