What are your current viewing tour procedures at Kontor?

The UK government has now advised that it is safe to view properties, so you are probably wondering how viewing tours will work. At Kontor, we are following the guidelines of the UK government to keep you guys and our team as safe as possible.

Once you have shortlisted the properties you would like to view, our first step would be to conduct a virtual viewing tour. This could be a 360° walkthrough of the office or a video call with a representative from the provider or landlord showing you around the office. We recommend a virtual tour first, as it enables you to get an understanding of the space and allows you to narrow down a selection of the most promising options, whilst minimising contact with other people. Your Kontor expert will be on hand for honest and specialist advice throughout all of this. The government advises to only physically visit a property you are thinking about putting an offer on, so you should consider this when picking your shortlist.

There will be no change in the process of booking the viewing tours, Kontor will still arrange this all for you.

When it is time to go out and view the office spaces, Kontor will be following the guidance from the UK government. However, each office space that you visit will have their individual procedures. We will share these with you at least 24 hours before the viewing is conducted so that you have time to prepare.

Some representatives will be wearing their own PPE and it is your decision whether you also wish to wear PPE, although we would strongly advise that you wear some sort of face shield to protect others around you. Everyone at Kontor will be wearing a face shield whilst meeting with those outside their home.

To summarise, the common themes that are shared by most providers are:

  • There should be no more than three people in attendance (Kontor are available to accompany you on the tour if necessary. If we are unable to attend, we are virtually available. If that is not possible, we will follow-up with a - call straight away to discuss your thoughts)

  • All attendees must confirm that they are not experiencing any symptoms in relation to COVID-19.

  • We will adhere to a min. of 2 m social distancing throughout the entire tour.

  • Facilities will not be available for use within the building.

  • The use of lifts will be limited, with stairs being used where possible.

  • Although cleaning across buildings has been increased, we suggest to minimise the number of surfaces you touch.

  • If the office space is currently occupied and the current tenants are unable to leave during the tour, you must keep a 2m distance at all times.

  • No physical contact will be made between the participants and no brochures or business cards will be supplied.

  • You must confirm your acceptance of the individual protocols before the viewing commences.

Kontor is not liable for any infection or subsequent illnesses during or following the visit, you are viewing at your own risk.

It is up to you whether you are comfortable with visiting offices during this time, so there is no pressure from us and it is down to your company's individual needs. If you have any questions about our viewing procedure or anything else, please drop us a note at hello@kontor.com, or you can speak to us on 020 3770 4279 or on our online chat during office hours.
