Tasha Giddings
Associate Director
So Tasha, where are you from? I grew up in a village in Surrey, close to lots of family and when I hit 13, mum and dad decided it was time for a change of scene and decided to join a bunch of their friends down by the coast, so we moved to Angmering-on-Sea. After university, I moved to London and settled south of the river.
Describe your role in three wordsI'm still thinking about this haha
An office needs… Lots of different spaces to keep your brain stimulated - I’m not a fan of sitting in the same area all day long, so building in different areas to keep the team stimulated is really valuable. Location also makes a big difference, it's often a top priority for people looking for new roles so if you're wanting to attract the best talent, chances are you'll benefit from being in certain parts of town. Where the Kontor office is now is perfect. We’re just around the corner from Charlotte Street, which has some of the best restaurants in London and super close to Soho, so there's always somewhere new to try with clients, the team or friends.
Favourite office space? Mortimer House is absolutely stunning. It's run by Maslows, a hospitality-led provider, with a restaurant, yoga studios, holistic wellness areas - everything you get from a members club. The drinks are sensational; they even have their own mixologist who can create anything you fancy. Oh, and there’s an amazing roof terrace. Every time you step out there, you feel like you've been transported to the Amalfi Coast.
Best thing about your role? The variety. It’s a complete mix, and I’m rarely at my desk from 9-5. I’m always off to different meetings, events, or viewings. Meeting and working with different people in various positions, from CEOs to office managers to finance directors, is great for experience in managing people too. I firmly believe that being busy helps you prioritise better—good thing I’m always busy!
Top tip for any company considering a move? Sign an exclusivity agreement with us.
But seriously, the main thing is not to stress about it. Think of it like a house move—how great would it be if you could pass on all the searching, admin, and legal stuff to someone else? That’s basically what it’s like working with us, just for offices.
And finally, talk us through your weekend plans. It's recently changed from going out to gigs, dinner, heading to the beach etc to furniture shopping and DIY since buying my flat.
However, I have been getting into a good routine with my Sundays - starting at the gym, then heading for a swim, long steam, and then plunging into the ice bath... and bed by 9pm.
